paper & wood
I always meant to put up a Windy doll tutorial, but haven't yet had the time. Luckily la lapin dans la lune has put up a comprehensive clothespin doll tutorial (image detail above from la lapain dans la lune). It's not exactly the same, but it's a good replacement for anyone who wants to make a diorama, and a really nice tuto on its own.
I've pinned it to the windy board, too.

moving
I've moved most of my blogging over to my hundreds & thousands' studio site.
There is a knitting pattern for some Sunny-inspired keyhole scarves to come soon, and hopefully a few Windy goodies and updates to post. However, most of my posts about children's books, illustration, crafts, arts + crafts, easy cookery, knitting, everyday life are on my new blog, as well as typographic notes. Come visit me.
I am also maintaining my illustration blog, Auggie (which also has a blogroll of blogs I like and follow) I've just been busy re-setting up my studio, but I'll be doing weekly posts again, soon.

In a pickles
I tried out a pattern via pinterest from pickles — small and clever baby set (free pattern). The bonnet is very sweet and a pleasure to knit. It fits a little small, so I added in a few extra rows.

oregano
I guess summer doesn't officially end until the 21st, but today feels like the first day of autumn — we counted 6 yellow leaves falling outside our window this morning.
Ornamental oregano is in season. It's one of my favourite plants. I discovered ornamental oregano on a random blog a few years ago (and that's what I like about blogs).
